In light of the mission, vision and values of the Bank of Lithuania, the Lithuania Digital Asset Regulatory Board, in support of the Bank of Lithuania, will work towards the same strategic directions for the upcoming four-year period (2022–2025). Specific objectives were set for each strategic direction. Our strategic directions are as follows:

Value (a financial sector that generates value for consumers)

We intend to:

  • Enhance the quality and accessibility of digital financial services and inclusion of different social groups as well as achieve the integrity of the digital financial services market
  • Increase the spread and accessibility of digital payment instruments
  • Increase the maturity of new digital asset market participants and conformity of products
  • Improve economic and financial literacy of the general public
  • Strengthen Lithuania’s long-term economic analytics
  • Boost competition of Lithuania’s financial sector and promote sustainable and innovative market development

Sustainability (a financial sector that promotes sustainable economic development)

We intend to:

  • Manage and mitigate climate risks
  • Ensure sustainable activities of the Lithuania Digital Asset Regulatory Board by the Bank of Lithuania

Progress (a progress-oriented organization)

We intend to:

  • Increase the maturity of data management, especially that in financial asset management
  • Digitalize the processes and services of the Lithuania Digital Asset Regulatory Board
  • Strengthen the resilience of the digital assets and financial system to internal and external shocks
  • Support the Bank of Lithuania to be among the three most efficient central banks in the Nordic-Baltic region
  • Develop competences and talents relevant (necessary) to the Lithuania Digital Asset Regulatory Board
  • Strengthen the representation of the Bank of Lithuania at the EU and international levels
